Private joke with BS - “the i wanna do naughty things to u feeling? ”
Hahaa…

We bought some very good hydroponic Truss tomatoes on Sunday for only $5 a tray. It would normally cost more than $5 for a brunch of 5.
We’re having plenty of tomatoes for the next week or at least till we turn tomato-red in the face.
KL doesn’t have to worry about Prostate Cancer.
Guess what? WE chuck a sickie today to go buy KL his Xmas present. Exceeding nearly 3 times the budget, so I’m paying half of it.
He wanted to get the Epiphone (cheaper version of Gibson) but I really wanted to get a Gibson for him. Of course, way beyond the budget. I knew that he will always be thinking of the Gibson even though he chose Epiphone. I’m no guitar lover, but I do know a couple of good guitar brands like Ibanez and Gibson. Besides, I know KL’s first guitar was a Gibson but was somehow…”lost”.
At the store, the Epiphone he wanted was not available and James, the nice sales guy recommended him a better affordable alternative. Personally, I was bias and didn’t like the cheap one - all thanks to my dad and his “Best” theory.
My itchy backside asked James to let KL try the Gibson. Immediately after that, I sense KL refusing to return the Gibson. It was really heartbreaking. I kept having the image of the poor musician going into the guitar shop every other day to see/play his dream guitar, hoping that one day he would be able to afford it. *sob!
Knowing that James has already offered us a great price and KL refusing to let me pay so much for his present, I told James that we’ll go for lunch, punch some numbers and we’ll come back hopefully.
During lunch, he talked about how expensive the guitar was and how its really beyond our budget. I justified it by saying that if there is only one guitar that he really wanted, this was it. Also, he is not likely to get another guitar in the next few years anyway. Besides, it would also mean, no more pressies for him for the next few xmas. Hahaa… At the end, we decided to split the present - me paying 50% of it.
Walking back to the shop, KL said, “You know what? This is really my first love.” Guess, I’m number two then. *hmpf!
So, the “auntie” in me managed to score a free pick, a guitar stand and a further discount (rounding off numbers). I’m a happy camper.

Its a Gibson Les Paul Classic. And in a fantastic colour too - Vintage Wine.
How much?
WAY TOO MUCH.
Hope KL knows how fortunate he is that I encourage him to get it. This is the same guy who think he paid too much for my branded wallet.

I cleaned and organised the bathroom the other day. I’m really proud how neat the bathroom sink is now.
So, I decided to take some pictures to remember.

This is my side of the sink. Of course it has more products than KL.

Pic of the spotless (for the time being) sink with toothbrush, toothpaste, mouth-wash, handsoap and stuff. Those seashells are from our trips to the beach in different parts of Victoria.

KL’s side of the sink. I sort of invaded it with my stuff - bowl of rubberbands, box of earrings, box of hairclips, etc. Oh, thats the radio I use to belt ballads in the shower.
*I wonder how long will it take before it gets messy again.
Since we return from our SunnyLand/China trip, I haven’t had the chance to upload the pictures here. Although, KL had most of the pictures in his flickr, I was too lazy/busy to do so.
Here are some of the pictures of the different stages of unpacking.

Some of the shopping I did. Mainly clothes.

Shoes of course - actually 6 pairs to be exact.

1/3 of the toiletries bought from SunnyLand. There were a lot more still in the carton when this picture was taken. If you really have to ask - yes, its cheaper.

Just scrubbed and cleaned the kitchen.
I’m a little bit sadden with the news that it is confirmed that Daddy can’t make it to Melly to visit us next week. I was seriously hoping they could. Damn the airline for being over-booked.
Well, at least they are planning to go Sibu (i think) for holiday.
I’m now thinking maybe I should return to SunnyLand for Chinese New Year. But, it would be damn LUGI!!!
There is this particular case that for some weird reason, something weird will go wrong.
SHE sent an email to the client but he never got it. We checked the email many times and he claimed he never got it. But had no problem receiving the re-send.
Kim (admin clerk) created 2 files for this client but only 1 was registered.
Me? I kept sending the typo-ed email to the case officer a total of 3 times until I got it right the 4th time. My boss walked to my desk right after and jokingly asked, “Are you on drugs or something?” Hahaaa…
Today, he said that he printed the email many times but nothing came out of the printer. So, I told him, “See? I’m not on drugs. I’m convinced this case is voodoo-ed.” We both laughed about it and quickly returned the case to the file room.
I love this chirpy song. But the lyrics is really horribly deadly.
I can’t decide
Whether you should live or die
Oh, you’ll probably go to heaven
Please don’t hang your head and cry
No wonder why
My heart feels dead inside
It’s cold and hard and petrified
Lock the doors and close the blinds
We’re going for a ride
I nearly forgot to blog this. Over the weekend, we went cherry picking right? Well, we signed up for their mailing list. And today, I received this in my email.
“Hi Everyone,
Good cherries will be available this weekend, though pick-your-own will only be available on Friday. On Saturday and Sunday it will be SALES OF PICKED FRUIT ONLY.
We’ve had to do this (hopefully only for a week or two) to control supply. We try to maintain a good supply of fruit for all our customers, and in a year such as this when we are very short of fruit, it can be tricky making sure we have enough both for people who come to the farm and for the buses we have booked in.
We have also been having trouble with some people picking unripe cherries that we will need for picking in a couple of weeks (when they are ripe!) and with some groups eating too much in the orchard.”
SHIT! Is it us? Hahaa…

Went cherries picking today at Mt Alexander Fruit Garden. Don’t ask me why I chose that farm amongst other nearer farms.
A bus load of elderly Italians came soon after us and they sort of invaded the whole farm like locast. Each of them were busy picking and eating. Many have already picked a whole bucket full of cherries within the short span of time.
One guy turned to KL and asked, “What do you call cherries in your country?” I nearly yelled, “CHERRIES LOR!”.
KL was smart enough to say, “In mandarin, cherries are called ‘ying tao’.” And he spent a while trying to get the right intonation. Co and I was busy giggling at the side. After he got it right, he went hopping/skipping to his friends telling them - ‘ying tao’. We left him to it but throughout the whole orchard, we kept hearing ‘ying tao’ everywhere.
After purchasing nearly 3kg of cherries, we got into the car when suddenly KL said, “I should have told them that its called ‘liu lian’. WAHAHAAAAA… if we really did that, it would be damn funny.
I had one of the most fun times there. I love cherries.

I finally own a pair of havaianas!!
Before I met KL, I didn’t know how to wear tongs (slippers). I always thought the reason why I never knew how to was because I lived in a HDB flat and didn’t have a garden or backyard like my cousins to run around. It was only in recent years that I learn how to really walk properly in it.
Okay, the truth is, I still sometimes walk funny in it. In a few occasions, I kicked my slippers ahead of me and in many occasions, my feet came loose from the tongs.
Last year, unemployed, I desperately needed to get one of those rubber tongs due to the extreme weather. While everyone in the street was spotting colourful havaianas, the cheapskate in me bought a bright pink and a turquoise colour from Target for a total of $4.99.
During my trip back to SunnyLand, it was so hot I wore my tongs everywhere. However, I look really ridiculous with everything i wore because of the colour. So, I left my bright pink one in SunnyLand because my mum like them although it was all disgustingly filthy.
After a few weeks of pondering, I finally bought a brown (safe colour) havaianas today for $18.95. I think it’s probably a very good investment.
I have been eyeing this sunnies with the Mother of Pearl logo for ages. I read that a lot of celebrity has it and I like it because it’s rare and I love pearls.
I begun my search started here in melly. It’s sold out everywhere and I read in some forum, they are have stop making that design. So, I went about in Sunnyland looking for that pair of sunnies only to find the pink frames available.
Then I continued my seach in China and HK with no luck. Don’t worry, I wasn’t looking for fake ones coz they were made very badly. If I really wanted fake, I might as well get it on ebay.
So I returned back to Melly disappointed and all. Told KL that maybe I should order online. So I wrote in the local forum asking for help. Luckily, a guy working at Myers told me that they recently got one pair in store. I rushed down the next day with Co and since, Co approved it, I bought it - for freaking $450.
Isn’t it gorgeous? It fits perfectly too, unlike other brands and models which is so unsuitable for asian nose. In case anyone is wondering - its ChanNel 5076H
Returned back to Melly yesterday morning but still too nuah to go to work.
Woke up this morning and text my boss this:
“Hi. Plane just landed. Very tired. Don’t think can make it to work in time. See you tomorrow.”
He replied:
“Welcome back. Looking forward to hear all about your adventure tomorrow. Rest Well.”
I have such a cool boss.
