Summer Cami

Cami

I bought this in a sales the other day. Its expensive even though it was nearly 50% off. Fine, I agree I bought it out of impulse but I have been wearing so often since I bought it. Also, it’s extremely comfortable especially for summer.

Too bad, it can be only dry-cleaned and cause its silk, I have to be extra careful.

Salmon & Soba Dinner

Salmon with Soba

We had our favourite Salmon and Soba dish last night. I think KL’s cooking improved immensely and I’ve been out of touch lately.

Parcel from BS/GL

Monday, January 29th, 2007

So, KL and me are both home sick today. I’m still nursing a sore throat despite not screaming or talking much at the Big Day Out yesterday. I still sound like an old man who smoked too much in his days.

I’m glad to be sick with KL at home today. We seldom get sick together. Most importantly, he seldom miss work. Still, it was nice being at home with him on a weekday.

We went to the post office today and finally collected the parcel BS sent. Because he didn’t write any of our name on the parcel, the post office wasn’t able to locate it. It took them over a week of searching to finally found the small brown envelope. Kanasai!

Have I mention I love receiving parcels?

I think these are probably my Xmas 2006 presents because it came from both GL and BS.

Lippy

I’m sure the lippy is from GL because I recommended it. Surely, it can’t be from BS. He only knows to get me rubber from Watsons. This is not available yet in KoalaLand. Thanks babe, I just finished mine.

Pouch

There was also a pouch with something inside…

Goth Necklace

Check out this goth necklace. She asked me to wear it with a white long sleeve shirt. I think I can visualise what she’s aiming for, but I think it’s kind of goth.

GL said something earlier, “I miss our creativity when we go shopping together. We have Chemistry!” I miss you too babe. Shopping will never be the same without you.

Skull Scarf

Finally, the Alexander McQueen inspired Skull Scarf I asked BS to get for me in November. Thanks babe.

My best friends. They never fail to surprise me. Never! Not even if the presents still have the price tags on.

Big Day Out ‘07

Big Day Out 07 Tickets

We bought Big Day Out 07 tickets a few months ago and KL was pretty excited about going. Me, on the other hand rather spent the $120 on an outfit, but I enjoy going concerts with KL.

Then, I fell sick on Friday. So sick I thought about selling my tickets (for a profit even!) and stay home to rest. On Sunday, I felt better so I thought if I went and didn’t feel well, I’ll just sit in the shade. Luckily, I was fine until nearly the end of the day.

BDO Blue & Red Stage

We stayed at the Blue and Red Stage most of the day.

I didn’t take much pictures because I was stuck in the crowd most of the time.

BDO Sick Puppies

I thought the Sick Puppies were pretty good. Then there was this cute guy holding a cardboard sign that says, “Free Hugs”. He got a lot of attention. It was probably Sick Puppies’s MTV Free Hugs Campaign that inspired the guy. Interesting tho.

My Chemical Romance was pretty great too but I was too far to take any picture.

The Jets were horrid. Truly disappointing.

BDO The Killers

Thankgoodness, The Killers gain back the crowd.

BDO moshpit

Check out the mosh pit!

BDO Map

I love the whole Big Day Out design - mushroom & the eye. $40 for the tee-shirt is too much.

Of coz, the best act was probably Muse. Too into the performance to take any picture.

I’ll definately download My Chemical Romance and Muse. Heheee…

Australian Day

Pie in the Sky

We went Mt Dandenong today. Had lunch at Pie in the Sky.

We had pies for Australian Day. How Aussie is that?

Steak & Mushroom - Pie in the Sky

I had the Steak and Mushroom Pie with chips and salad. Yup, even with a sore throat, I still had to have my chips.

Floater - Pie in the Sky

KL had the Floater - Classic Meat Pie with mash potato on top, floating on Ham and Pea Soup. *Yucks! If you ask me.

Too bad, I wasn’t feeling too well to enjoy the rest of the day.

Sick again

Thursday, January 25th, 2007

I’m sick. Hope I recover in time for Big Day Out on Sunday.

Btw, Mandy ran away.

Comet McNaught

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007

We went to catch the Comet McNaught tonight.

We caught a dusty look and then the cloud covered it.

KL got a couple of nice shots, but we are likely to try again tomorrow.

Vegemite

Have I ever mention that I love Vegemite with crackers?

Duckie

Saturday, January 20th, 2007

duckie

Woke up in the morning, went Pancake Parlour and had breakfast before embarking into the cinema for “Night in the Museum”. Came out of the movies and had “snacks” at TGIFridays.

Went home, did housework and then went to pick Co for dinner at Old Kingdom.

Proceed to the movies with a round tummy and watched “DejaVu”.

Going to sleep now after all that eating and movies.

Mandy - Praying Mantis

Friday, January 19th, 2007

mandy.jpg

Meet Mandy, the Disco Tranny. He is the Praying Mantis I saw “grazing” my Sage plant earlier this evening. He got bored and decided to walk away. Since he did such a great job with the aphids on the Sage, I decided to lure him gently with a stick to my badly infested Basil plant. From then on, it was buffet for him.

KL took this picture, but I direct him to this angle of course.

Mandy the Praying Mantis sounds nice. However, it is not exactly a boy’s name. I’m pretty sure he is a boy but he’s actions are so feminine. Not to mention he is so vain, he’s anorexic (2D nearly). Furthermore, some of the pictures KL too, he looked like he was disco dancing.

We decided he WAS an Andy who became a dancing transvestite, with a showgirl name of Mandy.

Ah, my new pet. Hope he survives.

Magnum - Macbook Pro

Macbook Pro.jpg

I’m a natural with naming pets, people, stuff toys and even objects. I would like to think that is my gift. Of course, I have been asked by people to help them with naming random stuff.

Lately, I was asked to name Co’s new Macbook Pro.

It is since called “Magnum”

Power Failure

Wednesday, January 17th, 2007

Yesterday the whole of Melly had a bad power failure due to the extreme heat. The bush fire burnt some major power lines and the whole of Melly was in a chaotic situation - people stuck in lifts, trains, trams, buildings, etc.

It was reported that it was about 48 degrees at the Australian Open yesterday.

It was indeed very hot. So hot that I refused to step out of the office during lunch. We had no problems going home but there was no electricity at home. However, we managed to cook dinner. Nearly everything in the fridge in fear of it going bad. We were smart enough to even steam rice from a wok instead of a rice cooker.

The air was so still, candles in the house didn’t even flicker and look very odd. There is no way we could have stayed at home without any fan to cool us, so we went to the movies instead.

I love it. We watched a romantic show (Holiday) and KL didn’t even complaint one bit (maybe its Jack Black). We shared a slushy and a choc top. It really felt like a date.

We came home past our usual bed time but I was really comforted that everything was back to normal.

Heart Broken Broken

Monday, January 15th, 2007

Called Mum today (I very rarely do that).

She told me that Dad misses me and is broken hearted?!?

In her own words, “He misses you lah. He like his heart broken broken.”

BBQ @ Yarra

BBQ

So, since the weather bureau says it will be a fair day today, I planned for a BBQ at the river banks.

Everything went well. Managed to get a bench and bbq but the CTs were late - very late. That pisses the hell out of KL. Whats new?

steakprawns

We had Porterhouse steak & King prawns.

Octopus

Grilled baby octopus salad.

Sausages

BBQ sausages and lots of Coca Cola. We had real fork and steak knifes (not plastic, mind you), with BBQ tongs & thingy and even pink table cloth.

It was nice and relaxing. But I think we all had a tan. I had 50SPF all over except my cleavage and since I wore a open neck top, my chest is red now.

BBQ 14Jan07 011

After all that food, we left about 6 to a Jazz Concert in a Park nearby.

Everyone went back to our place and the girls had cuttlefish snacks while playing mahjong while the boys were in the room playing with KL’s new guitar.

Brunswick and Wick

Blue Chili

We slept in today and went lumch about 1pm, maybe later, not sure. Drove to Brunswick Street and had lunch at Blue Chili.

It was our first time there and we ordered the Seafood Laksa and the Thrice cook duck. Sorry no pictures because we were busy stuffing face again. I love it. The laksa was really lemak, the nyoya sort I love. And the duck was fabulous. Highly recommended although it was a little pricey.

Ice Tea with Lemongrass

KL ordered this weird Ice Tea with lemongrass and mint. Taste too weird for my liking. What makes it special was that they used gula melaka - I’m sure coz I recognise the taste.

After lunch, we walked about and I had to go to my favourite shop - Kleins Perfumery. We bought quite a bit there with includes a blardy expensive candle that we have been eyeing on for a long long time.

Diptyque

Diptyque’s Freesia. Apparently, it is one of the best candles. For that price, it better be. I can’t believe I’m one of those people who spent so much money on candles. Gosh!

Iced Tea Jug

And, we spent more money at T2. Must be the weather, we got us some tea to make iced tea as well as a Bodum Iced Tea Jug with filter.

Apple on a tree

Oh, I FINALLY saw apples growing on trees!!! Yah, cheap thrill. Even if its in a nursery growing in a pot, who cares.

Beef Denial

Friday, January 12th, 2007

We joined the mailing list for the cherry farm we went to the last time and we’ve been gettting weekly emails.

This week, they announced that they had to bring their last 2 cows to the market and was pretty sad about it.

Co said, “He went to do the groceries for the family. Say no more.”
I said, “But he never return!”
Co said, “He hasn’t returned… shhhh…..”

Fried Rice

KL makes the best fried rice!!!

When you can’t decide on the colour, buy both.

The Rock

Monday, January 8th, 2007

Tiffany

2 years ago, this day, KL proposed.

Today, not knowing, Co and I walked into Tiffany’s to have a browse and saw a huge rock. We asked how big and how much it was and it became a game. I was very close in guessing 2 of the rocks but was really far off the planet with the price.

The rock we saw was 5ct, D colour. Selling for AUD 600K. SIAO!

*hint: Valentine’s Day coming.
