I bought myself this last week during a sale.

Nice?

09 Oct 2007 - SCORE!

Tuesday, October 9th, 2007

Woke up in a rush this morning. Mum bought us breakfast as usual and KL had to rush to work. Seriously, his company has an office in the country and he’s got to pay a visit so that it’s tax deductible. *roll eyes* Might as well, I can go Orchard to visit my ex colleagues.

KL left on his own because he was an eager beaver. I took a cab and dropped mum at her facial and headed right to the heart of town. Everything seems so familiar. What used to be my “hood” for about 3 years still look the same but with slight difference. Perhaps if I didn’t want to look closer in fear I might blur my memories of the place I so fondly call my “playground”.

What is left in my workplace is only 2 familiar faces. Most of them left because they couldn’t stand that idiot. I went in and my heart dropped when I walked by where Aisha used to sit. I still can’t believe she’s left us. I am still in denial and haven’t have the guts to delete her number from my mobile. I sat there at the same couch we so often sat and talked to my colleagues about everyone else.

We went out for lunch at Wisma. The food court is now renovated and very very nice. I remember Wisma’s food court is the worst when I was working nearby.

day4foodcourt

The food court in SunnyLand is so nice and fancy. No longer the bright sterile look.

Of course, lunchtime is always crowded and will the girls queued for my food, I turned my head and saw this red construction building.

day4wisma

Apparently, it seemed like they are building yet another shopping center.

day4food

The girls were so sweet and bought me ‘char har mee’, ‘orh lua’ and pohpiah to share.

I left them when they had to return back to work. I continued shopping and then KL came to meet me. By that time, I had already taken out my large shopping bag. Then, Mum came too.

tiger

And she bought me a rice cooker. HAH!

Knowing that my mum have no patience to shop, we had some light snacks at Delifrance.

day4deli

This is really nice. Wish they have this here.

Dad came to meet us for dinner at Sanur. Again, we ordered too much. We ordered n+2.

These are the pictures before my camera battery died.

day4sanurveg

Sayur Lodeh.

Tauhu Telok

sanurchix

After such a heavy dinner, I went to collect my new watch.

Dad and Mum split the bill. Hehee. SCORE!!!

07 Oct 2007 - Toa Payoh/Ah Tat/Mustafa

Sunday, October 7th, 2007

We started the morning with my favourite Lor mee. Then we went to meet KL’s parents and grandma for lunch at the club. We are such pigs!

Guess where we went next. Toa Payoh interchange. KL needed to spend some time with his parents to understand their new business venture and I didn’t want to be involved fearing boredom. So, I wondered around the whole interchange for nearly over 4hrs.

There is really nothing much to buy or see coz I practically walked the whole damn over and over again.

day2payoh

Still, I managed to score a couple of work blouses and giordano tees (sales). That was about it. I think I did pretty badly for that 4 hours but again, it was quite boring.

day2payohdurain

Since I probably walked around the entire interchange more than 3 times, I saw the progress of these durains unloading.

The highlight of the day was probably dinner with the extended family at Ah Tat’s.

day2ahtat

Apparently Uncle Ah Tat divorced his wife and married a Viet girl half his age. Now, he does, Chinese/Thai/Viet cuisine. Still, it was delicious. He even remember that I love his sharksfin and that KL love his butter spareribs.

day2fins

I had a couple of bowls that night.

We went home with a really full stomach and feeling restless, we took a cab to the 24hrs Mustafa. Woohoo!

day2mustafa

Didn’t take much pictures because I was too busy shopping. But took this picture because stupid tiger nearly got me in trouble with the custom last year.

day2mustafamassage

Then I saw this weird dry water massage machine. How weird is it. Looks like Michael Jackson’s oxygen capsule.

Shortly after this picture was taken, Alan came to meet us. We didn’t explore much of Mustafa after that. However, I still managed to buy up to $250 worth of stuff. I don’t know how I managed to do it in such a short span of time.

We wanted to bring Alan to see some interesting characters at Desker Road but they were not there so we decided to go off somewhere else for drinks.

day2mustafabox

Saw this Letter Box at Little India. Apparently they commissioned students to decorate them thru-out Sunnyland. In my opinion, some look really stupid and amature.

As we haven’t climatise to the weather yet, KL requested for an Air-conditioned place to go. Since we haven’t been back for a long time, we had difficulty describing and giving Alan direction. But it didn’t take KL too long to find it. Seriously, every year we come back, we’ll have to bring Alan to a new place because that fella just don’t go out much.

day2mustafamee

Again, I don’t know how we do it but even after a heavy dinner, we still managed to gobble down a bowl of Bak Chor mee.

Temporary Shopping Ban

Monday, August 13th, 2007

fcuk

I bought this for Chinese New Year. It’s my red outfit for the new year. However it’s too hot to wear on that day.

Since my last post, I realised I have some credit card bills to pay and I have to save money to go back Singapore. To add to the cost, I have to pay for my bangkok trip with the gang and not to mention some good ol’ cheap shopping.

I am putting myself on a shopping ban until I go back Singapore.

Chanelpaperbag

I bought myself a birthday present today.

Chanelbox

I have been thinking about it for many many months.

Chanelcard

Because of its limited stock, it’s pretty rare to even see it on the shelves. The last time, I held it for a while in the shop but was too rational to buy it. Next day, it was sold out.

ChanelDustbag

Co saw it this morning. I called the shop and was told the stock came in this morning.

Chanelbag

I thought about it for the whole day, and with KL’s blessing, I went to the shop, 10 mins before it was closed.

ChanelClutch

There was so many reasons/excuses why I bought it. In my 31 years, I have never bought anything so expensive before.

No, I did not strike toto.

Its not an act of impulse.

I love you - Chanel Timeless lambskin Black Clutch.

Love love, much much.

He is back!!

Wednesday, April 25th, 2007

KL is back. He lost his luggage (airline lost it) and then they found it.

I’m happy.

He bought me these:

Abercrombie Hoodie

I’ve always wanted an Abercrombie Hoodie!! And this is soooo comfortable.

Abercrombie Tube

And this was totally spontanous. He got me a tube top. Super soft and the lace at the bottom is gorgerous - reminds me of my wedding gown. It’s a sale item too - Well Done, babe!

Issey Miyake

I’ve been using Issey Miyake during my Poly days and mum stole my signature smell and I had to find something else because I simply refuse to smell like her. I tried this Issey Miyake - Drop of the Petal (Limited Edition)here and I love it so I text KL to get it for me at the Dutyfree, but he bought it at Macy’s anyway. Woohoo!! I finally have something from Macy’s. Best thing was, he bought it at about $69 and it’s selling for $112 here.

I love it all. Best part was - it fits perfectly!

Shopping kills Loneliness

Sunday, April 22nd, 2007

Shoot. KL is coming back tomorrow and I’m going to get it from him. I’ve been shopping too much while he’s gone to “drown” my sorrows/loneliness.

It all started with 2 Fridays ago. I was still blue from misery when I went shopping with Co. Saw a tweed swing jacket on sale at Sportsgirl - from $130 to $69.90. Love it so bought it. Great for winter too.

Then the next day (Saturday), I drove us to Chaddy because its really far away and Co don’t get to go there often.

Black Swing

I bought his Black swing jacket this season in anticipation of the coming winter. It took me a long while to think about it because of the price. The picture don’t do justice to the perfect luxurious cut of the jacket. Its classy too.

Then I bought myself a nice leather ballet flats shoe for work from Nine West costing over $100. *sigh… for work.

With that, I spent nearly $400. *tsk.

This week, I bought myself an expensive bag. I have been eyeing this bag for the longest time and even Co love it so much she bought it last week. I tried to tahan but, I am so in love with it.

Witchery Fake Bal Bag

I have been interested in the Balenciaga motorcycle bag for a long time but the price is ridiculous. This bag I bought (in sandy brown) is perfect. More feminine, more elegant, cheaper also.

Not to mention that I bought a $20 black cardi today. How many black cardis do you need? - Co asked.

*sigh… still, KL will kill me probably. But I’m happy. I will endevour not to buy anything for the next month or two (realistic).

Looking forward to the gifts from KL tomorrow

Random weekend

Sunday, April 1st, 2007

I got a relaxing pedicure today alone at Dashing Divas. I felt so pampered. Forgot to take bring my camera but I will definately go back again, once I saved enough for it. I wanna go with CT or GL.

Then we went Chaddy and I spent $169 on a top and skirt.

Skirt

This cute high-waisted skirt has pockets. Pockets are fashionable this season. Plus this hides my bloated tummy. Its perfect for work too.

Top

The top a little see-thru and material kind of scratchy but I don’t itch so I guess its okay. Great for work too with a black pants.

Then we went to this Korean BBQ place with the CTs. Not bad and pretty cheap too. Too busy eating to take any pictures. After that we went to watch Mr Bean’s Holiday.

Bean

I was the only insane one laughing so loudly that KL had to cover my mouth.

I’m chatting with my insane cousin while doing my weights. I miss my yoga/pilates!

Grey Boots

Grey Boots

I had 2 fat coke yesterday because I was feeling sorry for myself.

Today (payday), I bought this. A flat grey suede-ish boots. Retail therapy works. Don’t worry, its only $50 from target.

Summer Cami

Tuesday, January 30th, 2007

Cami

I bought this in a sales the other day. Its expensive even though it was nearly 50% off. Fine, I agree I bought it out of impulse but I have been wearing so often since I bought it. Also, it’s extremely comfortable especially for summer.

Too bad, it can be only dry-cleaned and cause its silk, I have to be extra careful.

Presents before Xmas

Thursday, December 21st, 2006

There is about 4 more days to Christmas. I have received some presents so far. Starting with the first gift.

countryrdbag.jpg

Co gave me this for Christmas before she left for holiday. Although I wasn’t suppose to open the present till Monday, I’ve already used it last Friday. Hah! It’s great, I thought about buying this Country Road bag some time ago, but even the discounted price didn’t tempt me. Price - $79.95

112046mu_lg.jpg

The ‘Focus’ People at work gave me this present. I feel bad because, I gave them some really cheap/free presents today and they went out to get me this Witchery pink leather clutch bag. I had planned to give them their gifts tomorrow so that they didn’t have to go out to get me anything but unfortunately (fortunately for me), one of the boys will not be coming in tomorrow, therefore, I distributed the gifts today. Price - $89.95

gingerbread house 001.jpg

My boss gave me a box of gingerbread house, he bought from Ikea. I am suppose to put the pieces together and then decorate it. See the instruction?

gingerbread house 003.jpg

Then a client came by and dropped of some Top grade Vietnamese Coffee and even a packet of unusual Lotus Tea.

haighs.jpg

Just before I left for home, Brad pop by my desk and told me to look into my colleague’s drawer after he walk away. The silly boy bought me a tin of good Haighs Chocolate. I suspect its about $15.

It’s been good and I’m happy with my presents so far. Its everything I love and would really use, except the gingerbread house.

havaianas.jpg

I finally own a pair of havaianas!!

Before I met KL, I didn’t know how to wear tongs (slippers). I always thought the reason why I never knew how to was because I lived in a HDB flat and didn’t have a garden or backyard like my cousins to run around. It was only in recent years that I learn how to really walk properly in it.

Okay, the truth is, I still sometimes walk funny in it. In a few occasions, I kicked my slippers ahead of me and in many occasions, my feet came loose from the tongs.

Last year, unemployed, I desperately needed to get one of those rubber tongs due to the extreme weather. While everyone in the street was spotting colourful havaianas, the cheapskate in me bought a bright pink and a turquoise colour from Target for a total of $4.99.

During my trip back to SunnyLand, it was so hot I wore my tongs everywhere. However, I look really ridiculous with everything i wore because of the colour. So, I left my bright pink one in SunnyLand because my mum like them although it was all disgustingly filthy.

After a few weeks of pondering, I finally bought a brown (safe colour) havaianas today for $18.95. I think it’s probably a very good investment.

Hunt of the Mother of Pearl

Thursday, November 9th, 2006

5076.JPG

I have been eyeing this sunnies with the Mother of Pearl logo for ages. I read that a lot of celebrity has it and I like it because it’s rare and I love pearls.

I begun my search started here in melly. It’s sold out everywhere and I read in some forum, they are have stop making that design. So, I went about in Sunnyland looking for that pair of sunnies only to find the pink frames available.

Then I continued my seach in China and HK with no luck. Don’t worry, I wasn’t looking for fake ones coz they were made very badly. If I really wanted fake, I might as well get it on ebay.

So I returned back to Melly disappointed and all. Told KL that maybe I should order online. So I wrote in the local forum asking for help. Luckily, a guy working at Myers told me that they recently got one pair in store. I rushed down the next day with Co and since, Co approved it, I bought it - for freaking $450.

Isn’t it gorgeous? It fits perfectly too, unlike other brands and models which is so unsuitable for asian nose. In case anyone is wondering - its ChanNel 5076H

Shop til I’m broke

Sunday, July 23rd, 2006

Its post exams. I went on a shopping rampage and did some serious damage. But in my defence, it was all good buys plus I haven’t shopped for over a month or maybe more.

Friday, during lunch time, I spent $119 on a red trench coat + a skinny leg jeans. Too lazy to photograph.

Saturday, KL HAD (all his fault) to have lunch at the shopping district of our neighbourhood and I bought:

earrings.jpg

A pair of earrings which its really out of character for $20. GL, nice or not?

wodden.jpg

Then I bought some junk from BodyShop so I can “manage” my stress at work. A foot thingy and a roller thingy for my shoulders.

witchery.jpg

Sourced a really cute corduroy capris from Witchery on sale from 89.95 to 29.95. WooHoo!!!

fcuk.jpg

And before the shops closed, I got a girlie cardi from FCUK on sale at 49.95. Yes, for some weird reason, I wear XS in this country.

Today, I bought 2 work skirt for 19.90 each and a long knitted cardi for 34.90.

Yes, I still haven’t lost my “groove”, just lesser money in the bank. Fortunately, its pay day this coming week.

Another Camisole

I bought this today at Chaddy.
